Where the figures come from
Every number on this site is USCIS’s own published case processing time, collected daily from a public dataset. They are USCIS’s estimates of its own throughput — not independent measurements, not verified by us, and not predictions about any particular case. USCIS revises them without notice and we republish what it says.
Not legal advice
Nothing on this site or in any alert is legal advice. Immigration outcomes turn on facts this site knows nothing about. If a decision matters to you, consult a lawyer about your own circumstances.
No attorney–client relationship
Using this site, subscribing to alerts, or emailing alerts@mandamus.live does not create an attorney–client relationship, and nothing you send through it is protected by the attorney–client privilege. Do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through this site.
Not a government site
mandamus.live is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to USCIS, the Department of Homeland Security, or any other government agency. Official information is at uscis.gov. Nothing here is a substitute for checking your own case with USCIS.
Do not rely on the alerts as a deadline monitor
This is the most important limitation on this page. Email is not a reliable delivery mechanism: messages are delayed, filtered as spam, bounced, and silently lost. The alert service itself may fail, be interrupted, be throttled by an email provider, or be discontinued at any time without notice. It is a convenience, not a monitoring service. We undertake no duty to notify you of anything, and the absence of an alert is not evidence that nothing changed. Do not use it to track a filing deadline, a limitations period, or any other date that matters. Check your own case with USCIS.
Assumption of risk
By subscribing to the alerts you acknowledge that you understand and accept the following: the alerts are generated automatically and are not monitored by anyone; email is an unreliable medium and messages are routinely delayed, filtered as spam, bounced or lost; the service may fail, be interrupted, be throttled by an email provider, or be discontinued at any time without notice; the absence of an alert does not mean that nothing changed; and the service is not a deadline monitor and must not be used as one. You accept those risks, and you accept that checking your own case status directly with USCIS remains your responsibility alone.
Accuracy and availability
The data may be wrong, stale, incomplete, or briefly unavailable, whether because USCIS published it that way, because the upstream collection failed, or because of a fault here. The site is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Verify anything you intend to rely on directly with USCIS.
Acceptable use
Please do not retrieve the site by automated means at a rate that burdens the server, attempt to interfere with it, or use the alert signup for any address that is not yours. The underlying figures are published by USCIS and are public; if you want them in bulk, take them from USCIS rather than from this server.
What is and is not claimed
The USCIS processing-time figures themselves are published by the United States government and are not claimed as anyone’s property. The wording, presentation, and the historical archive of revisions assembled on this site are ours, and are offered for reuse under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence — you may republish them, including commercially, provided you credit mandamus.live and link to it. That is the same licence the dataset metadata on each page declares.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages, nor for any lost opportunity, lost benefit, missed deadline, or adverse immigration outcome, arising from the use of, or the inability to use, this site or the alerts — including where a change was not reported, was reported late, or was reported incorrectly. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case this limitation applies to the greatest extent they permit.
Time limit for bringing a claim
Any claim or cause of action arising out of or relating to this site or the alert service must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arose. A claim not brought within that period is permanently barred. This provision does not lengthen any shorter period that applicable law imposes, and does not apply where applicable law prohibits shortening a limitations period.
Individual claims only
Any dispute arising out of or relating to this site or the alert service must be brought in an individual capacity. You and we each waive any right to bring, join, or participate in a class action, collective action, consolidated action, private attorney general action, or any other representative proceeding, and no court may consolidate the claims of more than one person or preside over any form of representative proceeding in connection with this site or the alerts. If this paragraph is held unenforceable as to a particular claim, it remains in force as to every other claim.
Changes to the service
We may change, suspend, or discontinue the site or the alert service, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice. We may also revise these terms; the version posted here governs your use from the date shown.
Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the law of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts sitting in New York are the exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of them.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest remain in force, and the unenforceable provision is to be applied to the greatest extent permitted.
Entire agreement
These terms and the privacy policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding this site and the alerts, and supersede anything said elsewhere.
