Scope
mandamus.live publishes USCIS case processing times and offers an optional email alert. This policy explains what the site and the alert service collect, what is done with it, and what you can require of us.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies. There is no account, no login, no advertising network, no third-party analytics, no pixel, and no cross-site tracking of any kind. Because nothing is tracked, Do Not Track signals require no special handling — there is nothing for them to switch off.
Server logs
The web server keeps standard access logs — IP address, the page requested, timestamp and browser string — for 30 days, for security and troubleshooting, and then deletes them.
What the alert service stores
- your email address
- the form and office you selected
- when you signed up and when you confirmed
- the IP address used at signup, as evidence of consent
- whether each alert was successfully delivered
We do not ask for, and will not store, your name, receipt number, A-number, filing date, or any other case detail. The alert does not need them. Please do not send them to us; if you do, we will delete them.
Why, and on what basis
Solely to send the alerts you asked for. Your address is never sold, rented, traded, or used to advertise anything, and it is not shared with any third party for that party’s own purposes. Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, the lawful basis is your consent, given by confirming your address, and you may withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing.
Who else processes it
The email provider that transmits the messages necessarily processes your address in order to deliver them. No one else receives it. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in California law.
Where it is held
On a server in the United States. If you are outside the United States, signing up involves transferring your address to the United States, which may not offer the same statutory protections as your own country. Confirming your address is your consent to that transfer.
How long
Until you unsubscribe. Unsubscribing deletes your address and your selection. We retain only a one-way cryptographic hash of the address, so that a removed address is not re-added by mistake; the hash cannot be turned back into your address. Signups that are never confirmed are deleted automatically after 3 days.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from any alert in one click. You may also ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing alerts@mandamus.live. If you are in the UK or the EEA you may additionally lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority.
No automated decision-making
Nothing here profiles you or makes any decision about you. The service compares the form and office you chose against USCIS’s published figures and sends an email when they change.
Security
Data is held on a server we control and is reachable only over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If we become aware of a breach affecting your address we will tell you at that address and notify any authority we are required to notify.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.
Changes
Material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continuing to use the alerts after a change means accepting the revised policy; if you would rather not, unsubscribe.
